it’s incredible this couple of days, cuz i’m having sweets~!

hehe, my boy gave me some really nice and ritzy moose, and trust me, they’re reallll~lllly nice! will give a review after i’ve savour all of them.

and chingus high 5 gave me a big brownie~!!! it’s not like a small block of it, but a whole cake tray of it! when mui hui said that there’s another dish – brownie – comin at Mr Bean, i thought we did order that at first and still waited it to serve. haha i really didn’t expect that to be baked by dear sky!

KFF

I termed today as Korean Food Fest (KFF) wa~hahahaha

Well, it’s my house visiting round and I’d prepared Korean food as the theme of today~! Haha well, it’s a very anticipating day for me and luckily, I had managed to squeeze time out to make everything goes well smoothly. So떡볶이 (ddeokbokki= stir-fried spicy rice cake), 참치전 (chamchijeon= tuna pancake), 양푼비빔밥 (yangpun bibimbap = big bowl mixed rice) and 김밥 (kimbap = seaweed rice) were the dishes made over this afternoon.

I would say… it’s quite a success in cooking them and having their final appearance looking very close to my reference (except for kimbap, hehe). For the taste wise, it’s pretty hard to judge. But at least, I heard praises for ddeokbokki and bibimbap hahaha. The tuna pancake was rather “seasoning-less” as a comment noted, and this shall be improvised in my next attempt. And for the Korean version of sushi, we had a competition of who will roll the best-looking and tastiest kimbap. Eventually no one wins for each of us lack just that bit… haha but it was fun~

Alright I noe the picture doesn’t really show a very nice portrayal of Korean food, but at least they’re kinda in that shape right??? Hahahaa

So with each of our efforts, today’s KFF was fun and enjoyable. Korean food is simple to make and also quite healthy too. People, do try out cooking some Korean food and u’ll be amazed by how the different combinations of our ordinary foods are able to jigsaw into another cuisine that’s sparkling new to ur tastebuds!

I got my presents from the beautiful girls too! They’re really my taste stuff u noe??? Haha thank you so much!!! The cards are really really nice too! Thanks!

belated entry on Operation Pang Seh

okay, i’m going to honour my words and blog about a special birthday celebration for one of my beloved chingu on the 3rd of May… it’s called, eventually, Operation PS.

ever since our chingu gang had changed the procedure for birthday celebration, it’s been an idea-deficient and racking yet sweet preparation for the 2nd recipient of the new system. the schematic planning kicked off 2 weeks prior to the her birthday, and countless emails and meetings were exchanged and held in order to rule out every smallest possibility of our plan going off track.

the project’s name was changed from Operation Storm to Operation PS. simply because we wanted to storm her hostel and then go sing k together in the first place, but later, due to detailed discussion and intensive brain-storming, the karaoke session was taken out and we planned to pang seh her and storm her hostel instead. thus, comes the name Operation Pang Seh.

human count not as good as heaven count, Op PS wasn’t going the way as we expected on the actual day. after the pang seh phone calls by each of us, she actually managed to grab some of her frens out to sing~ that’s way out of what we’d thought cuz it was late already and the PS notice by us was almost last minute. anyway, emergency phone call meeting held, and i remember i was doing the 3-way conference call while i was in Vivo buying contact lens. hahaha and the conceived plan is stupid but cute…

emergency come-together meeting at clementi and Sky drove us to orchard where the birthday was having her k-session. dropped us off somewhere near and sky went on to pick her up, on an excuse that he needs to return the fondue pot which he had borrowed 2 weeks ago for her sis’ stuff. and on the way back, sky’s car stopped and the 3 of us slipped into the car – and remained silence. the atmosphere was soooooo stagnant and weird~ our plan was to keep mum throughout the journey and let the deafening silence have her many questions left unanswered, keeping her on the suspense, and letting her curiosity itch her badly. hahahhaha but clever lapis had her thoughts sorted out already and it turned out quite okay as she was pretty steady and didn’t ask many questions along the way… and alan was keeping all of us entertained with his little bit of singing at justin timberlake’s songs, and ck was also killing the quietness with his enacted part of the sick men with his coughs…. hahaha

okay, so we reached NTU hostel and everything was kinda paiseh cuz she already noe why we’re coming together for. hahaha so everything was pretty quick and straight forward. we took out the cake and the fondue pot with the well-prepared fruits. and then the present (hey i did the present and it took me many nights~ it’s a pity that i dun have a picture of it… haha) here’s the pictures:

it may seemed quite simple but we had devoted lots of time and effort in everything. especailly for the students cuz we’re juggling the exams cramming and keeping ourselves updated with the emails and creative juice going…

lastly, this entry is dedicated to my lapis and hope that her 21st birthday memory is going to be with her forever. =) cheers to LCK Pte. Ltd.

EXAMS ARE OVER

EXAMS ARE OVER!!!!

okay, i noe it’s bit late, i should have scream it out at the very min after the last paper. anyway, the excitement then was frail with my mere-3-hour-charged body. the post exam schedule is tiring and, as i’d told my boy today. i dunno these activities are supposed to be torturing or enjoyable. i believe they’re what i really want and are definitely fun, but my seriously lack of rest body is really starving.

okay let’s see what i’ve done…
the last paper was in a very cold hall and my fingers were so numb that i couldn’t control the tension of my pen when writing. sometimes, i realized that i’m actually carving the table surface through pieces of papers.

after draining so much energy on the writing, my geog gang went to Ikea for the badly-miss meatballs!!! yatte ne!

the meatballs are not disappointing and really deserve my deep-hearted salute. you round guys had done well in waiting for me. what else can be more satisfying than my ikea set meal? i guess some would have know what’s inside. coffee, cheesecake, chicken wings and meatballs make the ultimate combination! great conversation with mx, sarah, winnie and jason – an interesting guy. not forgetting that my boy’s little sweetness that made my day.

despite my high anticipation in heavy duty shopping at ikea, i exit the building empty handed, though with a big stomach stuffed with good food. took a long bus ride to causeway point which i struggled with sleep management throughout the ride… still depending on the tinge of energy left in my 3-hour-charged body, my mama and i shopped till drop in that mall, mainly searching high and low for my trip’s necessities and some wu e bo e.

shopping ended late and back at home, i tried a million ways to install The Sims 2. gosh, i bought it 2 months ago, and because of the never-ending projects, painful deadlines and subsequently, the big-time exams, my boy had passed it to me today. i was like so excited over it and can’t wait to get it installed and play the game. but… it didn’t work… currently trouble shooting with the seller…

clicking here and there, i couldn’t pull my face off my computer screen. and in the end, i went to bed at about 3am… totally shagged… and i need to wake up the next day at 9am. so, i pulled myself out of my bed and got ready to start another busy day. i went shao mu in the morning and early afternoon… i tried to stay alert and vibrant while i’m with my family and relatives, thinking that i should participate rather then be a sluggard…

on the rides in between the different praying areas, i was thinking that i may meet some serious mishaps in the states and everything that is done and everybody that i met during this very post-exam-b4-my-departure period are very important. all these meetings and activities may be the LAST impression of ME. then i started to think about contacting my friends and ah ma to meet them, maybe for the last time….

okay, got down to an important meeting and there was really quality discussion going on… new tasks were passed down and i have to be really vigilant… i hope my body will be of better condition then…

boy came and we were going to celebrate my 21st birthday. boy was charming and i saw him immediately as the lift door opened, he was waiting at the lift lobby. went around shopping with my eyelid refusing to stay in appropriate positions. but i turned excited when my boy brought me into the restaurant at paragon, which he and i are always interested and curious about. Lawry’s is really an interesting restaurant. i enjoyed the ambiance, the service (including the waitresses and waiters, managers, chef), the adorned ladies diner esp. those in their evening gown, and of course, the marvelous food. The spinning salad, cream spinach, one tail lobster, Steam Baked Boneless Chicken Breast, Pastry Beef Tenderloin, and even their butter bread, all tasted great~ the service was great, within our dinner there, there were 2 birthday celebrations and the waiters and waitresses got together and marched out together singing the happy birthday songs joyously. and interestingly adding ‘and all~~~’ at the ending of the last line…

the day ended at the escape from 2 prudential financial planners. they caught us while we were walking past their road show and were eating water melons. these guys should just leave us alone, they had cruelly taken up our time for some serious late night shopping. they babbled on and on until my boy cut in and told them that we’re not signing anything straight in their faces. hahaha, really waste my time lehz. don’t they now how precious is my time ?

so now, i’m about half dead with so many things still left unsettle at home. i think i should just go to sleep, and wake up…soon after…

It was a nice and fun nice over at lily’s place~ i thought it was going to be quite quiet that night, but who noes, we ended with 4 cool gals~!!! hahah coool~ nice effort!
the game of Life was great, but i keep losing!!!! arrrgghh!
Mahjong, okay, i won once but i think i still lose overall. aaarrrgghh!

hahah grea! the night was great with sweets and fried bee hoon, chit chat and checking up each other’s stuff. and everything ended off with mac breakfast and seeing the dawn break…

some updates on the second season of Goong. it’s called 《宫S》
here’s Se7en, one of the 4 lead in the drama. he’s in this cool prince outfit, but i think the first season’s is nicer….
school is starting next week. so sian!!!!!!! i can’t find a suitable backpack for school in this holiday. gosh. i’m going to suffer under the straps of my tote bag….

About Cyrus and Cyrene, Cyrus/Cyrene bit me just now! their teeth r sharp! i still can’t figure out who is who. and i suspect both of them are boys… aniway. they’re so cute!!!

well, was pretty late on this.

thurday was much of a fun and painful day for me. in the earlymorn, went back to the doc cuz of some prob with the medications that super dehydrate my skin and making them look and feel like scalded. it’s damn painful and i can’t take it but to ask for an explanation or a change in the regime of medications. darn it, i got a special appt tonight yet my skin loks sucky. no choice ne… got the new stuff and back home to rest as much as i can… damn painful

the night was fun. meeting my good old pals. secondary sch pals. it’s been min 4 yrs now. and some is up to 9/10yrs. well~ friendship is so amazing~!! the sushi buffet at fuunana was very fulfilling. though the teppanyaki was an disappointment. the present was fabulous. definitely to my liking~ max max max! thanks peng you.

well, chatzzzzz and when we exit, all the shops were already closed. the train ride was fun too~ hahah i guess with jq arounnd, things can turn playful~

okay, the rest of the days, i was busy churning out timetables with diff modules combinations. things ain’t looking nice. if i assume everything is going to be wat i thought, then i’m going to have a terrible time in sch starting from nex sem….

hmm, been listening to Se7en’s music these few days. initialli, i thought he’s just a lousy duplicate of Rain, with the beaty songs, dances, hot bods+++ well, not realli true after i did some research on him. he started out quite early with those stuff. just that the k-wave backwashes and he surfaces. his music are good. luv it. he dances well too… hahaha~ but i think rain’s cuter… he’s bit of sausage lipz.

Birthday Eve
after the last day of work (wed), i’m having a free day b4 my birthday… bit sianz at home, thinking that the holi’s gonna end soon, think i better get out to do stuff b4 i regret…
so pulled mama out with me to outram, one of my fav destinations in singapore. it’s a place with good food and nice shopping. it’s totally different from the small-large malls which we had already shop in until sian already.

this is me and my mama at the yummy place… we always get there to do our dining b4 the ‘dinner’ rush … this time menu includes fried oyster with egg, glutinous rice balls and yummy chinese salad (aka rojack lar)~!!!

Back with a full tummy and empty wallet. getting to sleep early cuz tml’s big day and i gotta wake up early to welcome some big shot. wahahaha

Birthday
Hatachi – 20 years old. the official adult age for the Japanese or in Japan. most countries are having 21 years old.. well, that means that 20yrs old is also a big time to call for birthday celebration.
well, so this is the big shot coming to my house early in the morning.

her mama’s present for me was really jing bao. realli thank her for the effort and thought. thanks boi and mama.
after staying at my house for a few hours (well, my mama and brother are at home and they are all awake), we went out for the 1st part of makan.

Tonkichi at Taka. really nice katsu curry set. especially the minced meat cake. ahhhh~
the placee was bit small, but cosy and ambience was great with much Japanese ‘feel’. Japanese people dining in, and people are all happy.

finished~ yummy~ went to shop around and got a pair of boxing glove keychain. so cute~ then we quickly hopped onto a cab b4 the surcharge pricing starts. off to the 2nd part of my makan celebration at causeway.

it’s a special dinner cuz we got 2 special guests~ da sao and ah ma~ and this is the first time my ah ma sees my bro’s gf. hehehe the dinner was very fulfilling… though the ordering was bit messy.

so that’s bout all for my birthday celebration. all with my closest and loving ones. very happy and contented with the happenings. thanks to my boi, mama, papa, kor kor, da sao and ah ma. for being there and also the presents. kamsahamnida~!!!

Birthday Boxing Day

A gathering at Sky’s place. with friends and wishes and warmth all around. my lovely One Fifth and High 5 gangs are there for me. plus some really rare and special guests: Alan, Zalikha, Jerm, Jien and Daw Rui.

with 10+ peepz sitting together at a big round table eating from the same steamboat and teppanyaki pan, sharing each other’s jokes, situations and gossips. it’s difficult to keep such a big group each person’s effort maintain this bond up till today. and here to celebrate my birthday that’s heartwarming.

played till late and we were all reluctant to leave. the last train/bus waiting for us…
this year’s birthday, i feel exceptionally happy. thanks God for everything. i’ll cherish’em all.
