Happy 2008!

hey yo~ welcome to 2008. a brand new year with lots of surprises awaiting… let’s pull up our socks, as well as our foresights, and embrace 2008 with even more love, attention and hard work!!!!

yoz. i’m really in a n euphoria realm now, cuz i’m blasting my speakers with real goooooo~oo~ooD korean hip hop grooves~ well, i guess those are added with bit of pop, but they’re really so good that enliven my mood instantly. wooooz~ it’s a marvelous vibe feast for my ears.

it’s preety busy these few days and my feet are aching without enuff rest. those blisters surfaced, tortured me, burst, once again appearing, crucified me again and again… what to do, giving you good shoes yet u all still have the guts to do it again and again~ argh~ dun care lar dun care lar… and so i went out, having the first till the last footstep aching.

recently, i had my first veg meal in a prim and proper restaurant. big hugs and thanks to those who made it thru the meal, as well as the efforts to receive my ovation. but i’ve a message that i really really wanna shout out, but it’s too impolite to do it there. hehe “the veg stall in causeway point’s food court rates 10x better than 7 sensations…, in my opinion…” in anyways, i’m still trying to keep up to the promise i made to high5 at the table.

have been shopping in those craze sales almost everywhere on the island. while i was mostly in orchard area, i was really awed and disgusted by the large flow and heads in this stretch of road in Singapore. guess i was always at the wrong place at the wrong time where peepz are just pumping in and in… geez, peepz get off my heals and toes, and stop the shoving, get out and lemme sit on that seat in food courts and train, man!~ oh, yea~ ! here’s a big food fetish that i’m hooked on these days: food republic stores unbelievable good foodS! i favour particular stalls, but i’ll explore more i guess they will hardly disappoint me… the ambiance, service, speed and efficiency. thumbs and toes up for ya!

an haircut session in my boi’s house again. bought a cable extension and luckily we’d found one cable point for the tool. i’m quite satisfied with my result today. though it looks bit of army cut, overall it’s still cool and nice! makes my dear’s head looks a bit smaller and cooler overall~ hahahaha

quite ok, mid beat songs are quite nice, groovy and brings the mood up. just realized that she’s not actualli a newbie as i thought initialli. she’d released a personal album back in 2002 and having at least 1 album cut out per year after then. and for this album, she wrote almost all the songs’ lyrics~ nice job!

stupid movie~ my boi bought this dvd for me from TS cuz it’s starring my lovely ai jie. wah lau~ ! it’s even more disappointing than i thought. although it’s my lovely goddess’ earlier work, this movie realli sucks to the deepest core~ the whole big entire thing sucks, except for my ai jie. the storyline is stupid ridiculous simply retarded, the cinematograpy is even worse. looks like this film was filmed with a handycam or wat. maybe i can even do better~ kao~ let u take a look of my goddess’ young look.

today i’m ceclebrating my v-day. yes earlier by one day~ hmm… quite a casual dinner at causeway point…. ponned my philo lec cuz first’y, it’s going to be boring again, secondly, i didn’t do my work b4 the lec and lastly, my lecture mate wasn’t going too~ so ended up leaving sch earlier…

well, i just finished watching [공동경비구역JSA] before typing this blog entry… now, heavy hearted and troubled…. it was done in year 2000

wasn’t realli sure about the ‘big and famous’ background of this film except knowing my ai jie… and from the website, also realized that another film, 실미도 (Silmido) is also done on similar theme… which is the North and South Korea dreadful r/s after the korean war… i guess there’re more movies on this theme displaying many emotional relationships that can keep political issues aside… yet political struggles will still step in and topple everything awfully…

it’s bit difficult and complicated (hehe. cuz i don’t even really figure out every single detail) to explain the painful storyline… but it’s something along this line:
forbidden soldiers to become best of friends
did forbidden stuff and was found out
fatal consequences and tag in political attentions and tension
friends vs. country
time of crisis: right of mind; friends; country; ownself
to cover; to speak or die
guilt, and death is the answer.

aniway, it’s impactful and an all time film for anione with emotions. well done, 박찬욱|!

ok, today my mama is coming back. but she’s not home yet… oh, i went out this morning to have breakfast at lot one and i received something so precious…

i watched it immediately after i reached home… she never fail to brighten my life. luv’ her~ the only flaw to this movie, in my opinion, is that the director is a bit trying too hard to act smart… aniway, marvellous~ slurp.

yesterday nite, i watch this movie call ‘the island’ oh my god, although it’s a pirated dvd, it doesn’t ruin the movie’s fantastic story.

it’s bout cloning and fight for survival. it’s realli much more than that. i can’t spell out the entire story cuz it’s like quite a lot…. ok i’ll try

it’s quite a futuristic show aniway… so imagine
this insurance company tat insure their clients by cloning their clients and keep them in a totalli isolated-from-the-reality world. so in this perfect world, the clones are human beings and they were told that the world had suffered a great contamination and they’re the found survivors and were brought to this place to continue to live. in fact that’s when, in the reality, a client signs up an insurancee policy, the company will start making their clone and put the clone into the perfect world to live. in that perfect world, everything is clean and white. and the oli thing the clones look forward is to win ‘the lottery’. ya, there’s oli one prize and that is a trip to ‘the island’ which is said to be the world’s only place left unncontaminated.. cuz the perfect world is so boring and dull, every clones want to win. actualli the lottery is just a cover. a term. a fake. for eg, if mr francis win the lottery tonight, it means that the the REAL mr francis is in need of something. the clone who won the lottery will die, he will be cut up to make sacrifices for the real mr francis. say he got a liver failure and he needs a liver transplant. ok, he’s insured by the company so he’ll get his clone’s liver freshly cut out and transplant it into his body and he will live after that.

ok that’s mainly the story…. it makes me sleepless for the whole nite. cuz if the world we’re living in right now is actualli the ‘perfect world’ in the movie, just of a more advance type. wouldn’t it be disgusting. maybe the ACTUAL world is much more high tech than now, and the power to design our deaths is so easy and tat’s y it makes our lives here so realistic and we wouldn’t think that we’re substitutes.
