for a special ‘baby’

5 08 2008

Bibimbap, Marinated Barbecued Pork (dwaeji bulgogi), spinach omelet roll and Korean frozen yogurt.

these dishes were made in a relatively foreign place and i had quite a hard time (within myself) finding the appropriate tools for making this meal. the food preparation really took a long time and effort under the hot weather that i couldn’t help but struggle with the thought of giving up several times. alas, they were finely completely with the aid of a pair of special hands (that has constant temperature~). big thanks out, hope u really really enjoy it, throughout and after.

up till today, i can say that Korean food is really easy, healthy, and most importantly, tasty. i have to spread this cuisine out to each and every one’s table (in fact, only those whom i love and love me, haha-) i noe so as to share this joy of making and appreciating Korean food. i’m still endeavoring, slowly (even slower when sch starts), in this cuisine to improve and master the numerous aspects of flavour, technique and appearance… by then, hehe, i’ll crown myself 요리사… hahaha

KFF

24 07 2008

I termed today as Korean Food Fest (KFF) wa~hahahaha

Well, it’s my house visiting round and I’d prepared Korean food as the theme of today~! Haha well, it’s a very anticipating day for me and luckily, I had managed to squeeze time out to make everything goes well smoothly. So떡볶이 (ddeokbokki= stir-fried spicy rice cake), 참치전 (chamchijeon= tuna pancake), 양푼비빔밥 (yangpun bibimbap = big bowl mixed rice) and 김밥 (kimbap = seaweed rice) were the dishes made over this afternoon.

I would say its quite a success in cooking them and having their final appearance looking very close to my reference (except for kimbap, hehe). For the taste wise, its pretty hard to judge. But at least, I heard praises for ddeokbokki and bibimbap hahaha. The tuna pancake was rather seasoning-less as a comment noted, and this shall be improvised in my next attempt. And for the Korean version of sushi, we had a competition of who will roll the best-looking and tastiest kimbap. Eventually no one wins for each of us lack just that bit haha but it was fun~

Alright I noe the picture doesnt really show a very nice portrayal of Korean food, but at least theyre kinda in that shape right??? Hahahaa

So with each of our efforts, todays KFF was fun and enjoyable. Korean food is simple to make and also quite healthy too. People, do try out cooking some Korean food and ull be amazed by how the different combinations of our ordinary foods are able to jigsaw into another cuisine thats sparkling new to ur tastebuds!

I got my presents from the beautiful girls too! Theyre really my taste stuff u noe??? Haha thank you so much!!! The cards are really really nice too! Thanks!

Big hugs to my brother and dad for ur presents as well!!! hugs*hugs

it’s 7th of may 2008!

10 05 2008

here is no better time to celebrate than now!

it’s over! exams are over! school is over!!! feel like crying out now~! hahaha i dun noe what, such a 交错 feeling! haha cuz so many things are happening in a short time! hahah

let’s talk bout today’s paper: well, genes like genes, boring and nothing else… but i indeed sense my efforts coming into play, displaying my hard-earned revision did pay off a bit bit… hahaha i did like a whole booklet of notes on genes alone yea~ if anyone wanna borrow from me, haha please do step forward!

but i’m really pissed and annoyed by my “i dunno what to call it”. here it goes: admist the exam, the lecturer said something bout deleting an option for a particular mcq question, and i remb i heard something like “freebie” & “dun need to answer”, and i was really confused of whether we do or do not need to do that question. i was struggling so hard whether to raise my hand and ask the invigilator, but eventually, being too afraid of being mocked at for not listening to the announcement, i decided not to. now that i think back, there’s no reason to NOT DO the question even if an option is to be taken away. and so what did clever eileen do? I left that question out, knowing the answer perfectly well for it… and after the exam, then i realised that we do need to complete that question. crash~ though it’s a point out of a hundred, and among 500+ students, it’s still very painful to watch my 1 point flying away from me when i’m so capable to catching it…. anyways, let bygones be bygones…. but i’ll never never never forget the okazaki fragment, the fragment that cost a point…

well, so that’s kinda saddening note for an ending, but i got myself shopping and into a good meal to move to a happier note. woa~ Lot 1 is gettin bigger and more interesting~ peepz, if u’re really really free and have nowhere else to go, visit Lot 1. it’s expanding but ultimately, it’s still a neighborhood mall that lack a bit of excitement and spiciness. nonetheless, it can still get shopping mood up to quite a decent climax~

i was talking to a wonderful lovely and fanstatic May just now, and she was just just just sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo NICE that i felt so embarrassed when i talked bout something kinda out of the way. hahhaha i luv luv luv luv her~!!! she really makes me feel the korean hospitality and she, herself alone, makes the whole Korea nation shines like -what- the super-duper spotlight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! omg, she’s really really a nice nice nice nice person that i can’t simply use words to glorify her…. i think i need to use more spotlights to make her shine reach out to more pppeeepppz!

kzzz, now i’m a full time NEET i.e. not in emplyment, education nor training. hahha slacking era is here! i’m going full time on watching drama, shopping, working out, hanging out and by all means doing whatever i like! hahhaha do call me up if u need a accomplice in these activities hahaha
